The Girl From Ipanema is the most famous bossa nova song ever and was written by Antonio Jobim and performed by him and Joao Gilberto in the late 50's bohemian art scene in Rio. It was introduced to the world by american tenor man Stan Getz in the 1960's giving birth to a style still much alive today.
