Our backing tracks for Sidewinder were recorded with our live studio rhythm section in the spirit of the original Lee Morgan recording for Blue Note.

It is a jazz party tune, of sorts, almost screaming 'swinging sixties party'! Afterall, it was recorded originally in 1963, hitting Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1964. It sums up the early sixties era well.

Excellent!

I really love the Sidewinder track for instrumentalists. It's nearly impossible for the audience to remain still, not tapping a foot or bobbing their head to this catchy tune from Lee Morgan. After all, isn't this the tune (and album) that pulled Blue Note Records out of the red and into the black when jazz was 'on it's way out'?! I love JazzBacks!
